Please let me go
The pace of life around these parts is too damn slow
Please won't you come with me
We'll start off fresh a-new, alive in the evergreens
Pack your bags and burn your bills
Just for peace of mind when we're ramblin' yonder hills
Pack it light we'll wander through
May have lost our minds, but I'm never losing you
Please let me go
Release my soul
I've never felt the way I feel when I feel your rock and roll
Free the sound of rain
I'd rather hear it fall on leaves than bounce off window panes
Liberate your feet
The sand between our toes and wind that blows is oh so sweet
Who can say if we're insane?
We'll ink our feet in love and dance and never be the same
Release my soul
Release my soul
Free the sound of rain
Liberate your feet
Who can say if we're insane?
Insane...
Release my soul

Seattle Sky
07:11
|
|||
Two worlds colliding from my mind
Across Seattle sky
Couldn’t get this high while feeling right
Can I burn this bright on your sweet time
Woke in my momma’s home
With two lovers I will always know
Couldn’t get this high while feeling right
Can I burn this bright on your sweet time
Maybe if we stay under the Seattle sky
We’ll be fine, we’ll keep some aliveness
But baby we could run dry
If you take your mask off babe
Maybe I’ll lose mine too
We can watch this phenomenon face to face
Walk away in its power and aching grace
Maybe if we stay under the Seattle sky
We’ll be fine, we’ll keep some aliveness
But baby we could run dry
Oh, I’m feeling dry
Oh, Seattle sky

Imminent Return
07:58
|
|||
What a world we live in,
so many in the cold.
For most of us it's optimistic
the thought of growing old.
It's a tragedy of indecision,
suppose they didn't know.
The rest of us are so conflicted,
because it's out of our control.
Can't you see the ground is weeping,
of red in tooth and claw?
But don't reduce your expectation
of a clarifying call.
It's a circumstance of escalation,
a turning point for all.
If all of us could band together,
and our paradigm evolve.
Some day we'll find
we'll be okay and all in kind.
Then we'll discern
the immanence of our imminent return.

A Different Yes
05:22
|
|||
If we say yes, it’ll be a yes to every day
If we say yes, it’s to open the floodgates
If we say yes, it’s to fight the obsession
To bring our need for perfection
We know he’s a funny guy, thought maybe he could supply
A different out, a different fix
But he’s one in a mix
And we know what we know, it ain’t time to go
We can bend the room with right tools
Keep throwing time at our money, it’s not saving face
It’s keeping our pockets full, too heavy to go any place
So drop it fast, drop it hard, cross our arms the other way
Drop it fast, drop it hard
It’s okay to say a different yes
Throw the towel back on the floor, the tiles can always take some more
And if they break, we’ll wish on glass
To cover your ass
‘Cause we know what we know, it ain’t time to go
We can bend the room with the right tools
Keep throwing time at our money, it’s not saving face
It’s keeping our pockets full, too heavy to go any place
So drop it fast, drop it hard, cross our arms the other way
Drop it fast, drop it hard
It’s okay to say a different yes

Baleen

Wouldn't it be nice if you had a sieve?
A way to separate what's superfluous.
Release everything that you don't need,
we typically overdraw to filter feed.
Baleen
If it doesn't serve you let it go,
like excess water on an outward flow.
Once in a while we come up for air,
the selection of nature ain't always fair.

Be a whale!
